2021 Japan day and Networking dinner
Members of the Suzuki Innovation Centre (SIC) took part in the Japan Day event on September 24, 2022, which has been an annual event since 2018 and is co-hosted by the Indian Institute of Technology-Hyderabad, Japan International Cooperation Agency, and JETRO.
This time, a total of ten Japanese companies took part in the event and presented their business models, missions, and strategies to draw in IITH students in the morning and meet with them face-to-face in different rooms in the afternoon.
To celebrate the success of JAPAN DAY 2022 at IIT Hyderabad, SIC organized a networking dinner with Japanese and Indian delegates after the event.In addition to thanking all participating organizations, Prof. B S Murty, Director of IIT Hyderabad, attended the event and spoke with the majority of them in person over dinner.
In addition to the other guests at the dinner, Mr. Suzuki Takashi, Chief Director General of JETRO India, Mr. Toshihiro Mizutani, Director General of JETRO Bengaluru, Prof. C. Krishna Mohan, Dean of Public and Corporate Relations, and Prof. Tarun Kanti Panda, Dean of International Relations, joined the gathering and engaged in conversation with everyone. The dinner gathering was a fantastic forum for the professors from IIT Hyderabad and the representatives from the 10 Japanese companies to exchange ideas and improve communication.
SIC will continue to offer networking events for Indian and Japanese industries, academia professors, alumni, students, start-ups in India and Japan in order to strengthen ties between India and Japan.
