Village Visit
As part of rural innovation activity of SIC, the team visited Gongulur village on 3rd February, 2022. Sarvodhaya women entrepreneurs welcomed the team warmly and the interaction was ecstatic. This self-help group also works on manufacturing products under the brand name of “Manjeera”.They produce items like solid detergent, cold pressed oil, unpolished dal, and soap. And they want to produce good products & sell the products that showcase that Indian women are able to do business by themselves.
The team also visited Alair village and its government schools and interacted with teachers and students on 1st April, 2022. The team also visited Satvikki center, which works on training women regarding menstrual hygiene, providing self-sustaining employment and manufacturing cloth sanitary pads.
