SIC 1st Year Anniversary and Annual Networking Party
Suzuki Innovation Centre (SIC) hosted its first annual networking event in collaboration with IIT Hyderabad Alumni Association (IITHAA) on the evening of December 23, 2022, at Radisson Hyderabad Hitec City.
The event's goal is to promote networking among stakeholders who promote/aim to promote Indo-Japan collaborations, as well as to commemorate the one-year anniversary of the SIC's launch. About 150 guests attended, including SMC delegates, MSIL, JICA, JETRO New Delhi & Bangalore, MUFG Ganesha fund, SMBC,T-hub, IIMA, IIMK, Indian and Japanese startups, and other industries and universities from across India.
The event began with a welcome note from Mr.Kinji Saito, Director and Senior Managing Officer of Suzuki Motor Corporation and also the primary advisor of the Suzuki Innovation Center, followed by Prof.Murty’s message video, and opening remarks from Dr.R. Sai Chandra Teja, President of IITHAA, then SIC Explanation from Mr.Vipul Jindal, Execution Head of SIC and Indo-Japan Collaboration initiative by SIC from Prof. Kotaro Kataoka, Faculty in charge SIC, Associate Professor IIT Hyderabad, and finally the toast from Mr. Domichi, Independent Director of Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan.
Participants enthusiastically connected with other guests and expressed their future thoughts and specific plans for India and Japan. It was a success, and everyone loved the physical networking event after a long period.
SIC believes that this event fosters synergy and strengthens our and their collaboration, and we will deliver more interactive networking events for academics, entrepreneurs, and industries in the coming year, deepening India-Japan connections.
